Topic : IEEE SPS 5-Minute Video Clip Contest – Fight the Pandemic
The Signal Processing Society is pleased to announce the 5-Minute Video Clip Contest (5-MICC) at ICIP 2020 virtual conference during 25-28 October, 2020.
The topic chosen this year is image and video processing tools for fighting the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The submitted video can cover any role that image and video processing may have in management of pandemics. Related areas might be considered as well. For example, it can be detection of coronavirus, identifying and tracking the infected people or people with fever in airports, image acquisition and processing for managing pandemic, COVID-19 detection from chest X-rays (CXRs) and computed tomography (CT) images, recent developments in medical diagnosis treatment, and patients monitoring, as well as future directions for using image and video processing tools for analysis, modeling, and understanding pandemic. Students were also welcome to submit an “open topic” video submissions, regarding image and video processing for medical applications, even if they are not related to the topic of pandemic.
- Submission of 30-Second Trailers:
Submission deadline: August 20, 2020.
Announcement of the best 10 teams: August 31, 2020.
- Submission of the Full 5-Minute Video:
Submission deadline: September 30 2020.
Announcement of the 3 best videos: October 16, 2020.
- Voting until 23.October.2020. The final ranking will be decided by the judging panel, also taking into account the popular vote. The winners and final team ranking will be announced during the conference.
