Announcing ICIP 2020 as a Fully Virtual Conference
The safety and well-being of our participants is of paramount importance to IEEE Signal Processing Society. On 11 March 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Covid-19 a pandemic. After careful consideration and in light of the global health emergency and pervasive travel restrictions, IEEE Signal Processing Society has made the difficult decision to convert ICIP 2020 to a fully virtual conference.
This decision has not come to the Organizing Committee as a surprise as we have been discussing this possibility among other alternatives since March and even before ICASSP was announced to go virtual. We are committed to organize the largest ever and most memorable ICIP. We count on your commitment and support to attend ICIP at the comfort of your home or work place as your safety is important for us. We were looking forward to seeing you at ICIP in Abu Dhabi in October, but we are excited for the opportunity to innovate by creating an engaging virtual conference that will be rewarding for presenters, attendees and sponsors, yet we still want to see you all in Abu Dhabi sometime in the near future.
Guidance for authors of accepted papers will be provided with the decisions on 15 May 2020, while general information about registration to attendees will be announced soon after that.
Virtual Conference Dates
ICIP 2020 will still be held at the original dates, that is, during 25-28 October 2020. The authors and attendees will have a golden opportunity to share and discuss their research outcomes with fellow researchers, experts and students around the world.
